Vision

Attracting a large number of students to the newly established department, awarding them a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technologies, elevating the students’ capabilities, and guiding them toward expanding the base of technical education and its modern applications to become a leader in providing accredited technical services that contribute to fostering a spirit of competition and cooperation within the community.

Mission

The Department of Mechanical Engineering Technologies adopts a general mission based in its broad framework on the technical education structure in Iraq—a mission it strives to achieve every year to highlight the department’s excellence. The general objectives focus on graduating national technical cadres with a level of education and training that enables them to comprehend technological systems and support the process of technical development to keep pace with rapid global technological advancements. The specific mission includes the following:

  • Utilizing computer and internet technologies in education and training.

  • Activating relations with the private sector in training fields.

  • Following up on the development of training curricula and plans, and consequently upgrading laboratories and workshops.

  • Interacting with the labor market and community needs regarding qualification and training.

Aims

The department aims to prepare technical personnel who serve as a link between the specialist and the skilled worker. The department prepares and equips graduates, providing them with theoretical, applied, and practical knowledge to ensure they are capable of executing the tasks assigned to them.
