Department History of Electrical Techniques

This department is considered one of the prestigious and long-standing departments at the Technical College – Mosul, and its history has passed through two main milestones:

• The Initial Foundation: The department originated from the core of the “Technical Institute / Mosul,” which was established in 1976. For many years, it was known as the “Department of Water Resources Technologies.”

• Transformation and Development: With the transformation of the institute into the “Technical College” and under the umbrella of the Northern Technical University (which was established in its current form in 2014), the department was developed and the environmental aspect was integrated into it to keep pace with modern requirements, becoming named the “Department of Environmental Engineering and Water Resources Technologies.
