The Department of Civil Techniques consists of two branches:

1. Building and Construction Branch

Vision

Building an advanced educational and technical system in the specialization of building and construction, based on innovation and total quality. It focuses on sustainability in the construction sector, reinforcing the branch’s position as a leading source for preparing qualified personnel who meet labor market needs and contribute to national development projects.

Mission

Advancing the specialization of building and construction through modern educational programs that combine academic and practical aspects. The mission focuses on building capabilities in project management, sustainable construction technologies, and field and laboratory testing, in order to graduate highly competent professionals capable of competing and innovating in both the public and private sectors.

Objectives This specialization aims to achieve the following:

  • Prepare qualified technical and engineering personnel capable of executing various civil works, building, and construction projects in accordance with the latest engineering standards.

  • Empower students to conduct laboratory and field tests with accuracy and efficiency using modern tools and techniques.

  • Equip students with the necessary skills to prepare and execute topographic maps and surveys, as well as calculate quantities and measurements for civil works projects.

  • Provide practical knowledge in the fields of sustainable construction.

  • Enhance skills in project planning and management in line with international quality and safety standards, ensuring graduates are effectively qualified to enter the engineering labor market and meet its evolving demands.
