Educational Objectives
First Objective
Graduates will demonstrate solid technical knowledge and practical competence in the core areas of electrical engineering technology. This includes electrical power systems (generation, transmission, and distribution), electrical machinery, control systems, industrial automation, and analog and digital electronics, qualifying them to perform their technical roles efficiently.
Second Objective: Practical and Laboratory Problem-Solving Skills
Graduates will apply analytical approaches and systematic, practical problem-solving methodologies to diagnose, operate, test, and maintain electrical systems and equipment. They will utilize modern diagnostic tools, standard engineering methodologies, and simulation software such as MATLAB, ETAP, and AutoCAD Electrical.
Third Objective: Professional Behavior and Ethical Responsibility
Graduates will demonstrate a firm commitment to professional ethics, occupational safety standards, and compliance with regulatory policies in electrical engineering environments, proving their responsibility toward colleagues, clients, and the public interest.
Fourth Objective: Adaptability, Lifelong Learning, and Technological Advancement
Graduates will display the capability and motivation for continuous professional development. They will keep pace with the latest trends in electrical technologies—including renewable energy systems, smart grid technologies, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and industrial automation—through self-directed learning, professional training, or advanced academic studies.
Fifth Objective: Effective Communication and Teamwork
Graduates will communicate technical information clearly and professionally, both orally and in writing. They will collaborate productively within multidisciplinary project teams and diverse work environments, reflecting the interpersonal and organizational competence expected of technical professionals.
Sixth Objective: Program Contribution to Sustainable Development and National Progress
Graduates will apply their technical expertise in ways that support the sustainable development of the electrical infrastructure and the industrial sector in Iraq. This will contribute to energy efficiency initiatives, the responsible use of resources, and the advancement of national economic and technological goals.
