Department History

Reflecting the Northern Technical University’s vision for qualitative expansion and responding to the demands of the labor market in the Nineveh Governorate, the Department of Medical Instrumentation Techniques was established at the beginning of the 2023–2024 academic year.

The decision to establish the department in 2023 came as a strategic step to keep pace with modernization, as the department aims to:

• Prepare qualified technical cadres: Capable of installing, operating, and maintaining medical devices in public and private hospitals and healthcare centers.

• Support the healthcare sector: Supplying medical institutions with technicians who possess the necessary scientific and practical knowledge to handle modern diagnostic and therapeutic technologies.

• Achieve academic integration: Linking educational curricula with global technological advancements under the supervision of the Northern Technical University.
