Educational Objectives

Enabling students to describe and understand the stages of crude oil refining (such as atmospheric and vacuum distillation, reforming, and thermal cracking).

Explaining the mechanisms of basic chemical and petrochemical reactions, and understanding fluid behavior and heat transfer within pipes and heat exchangers.

Conducting petroleum laboratory tests: Mastering standard testing for crude oil and petroleum products (such as measuring API gravity, flash point, pour point, and sulfur and water content) and ensuring their compliance with international standards.

“Proficiency in operating separation equipment, pumps, and heat exchangers, and understanding control systems and smart automation within control rooms.”
